Elijah Meeks is the digital humanities specialist at Stanford University. Coming on board in December of 2009, Elijah's earlier academic and technical work included the creation of the Digital Gazetteer of the Song Dynasty, requiring an integrated geo-database that represented the complexities of place in medieval China, as well as GIS analysis of the dataset and creative visualizations of the spatial and statistical analysis coming out of it.
Elijah is currently ABD, and his thesis focuses on the use of multiscale digital resources to recreate and analyze socio-environmental interaction during the pre- and early dynastic period of China.
